Y’all, I just cannot believe we’re already in the middle of January! I am just now taking down my Christmas decorations – yes, I Know! But I love the little twinkle lights (plus I’m a bit of a procrastinator) and somehow the days have turned into a couple weeks . . . at any rate – I have finally gotten it all down and am moving ahead, full steam toward February!!
I had the most fun a few days ago visiting one of my favorite boutiques, Lizard Thicket!! I could honestly spend hours in that place – their selection is just that good!
Lizard Thicket is a bit different than many other boutiques, carrying a limited quantity of each piece and has new merchandise arriving almost daily. That means a never-ending selection of styles for their clientele and at a price point you’ll find difficult to believe!!
AND DON’T BE FOOLED!!!
At first glance you might think this treasure trove carries styles that only a pencil thin millennial could pull off (and they do have their fair share of crop tops and mini-skirts) . . . BUT
MOST Of Their Pieces Are Perfect For ANY SIZE At ANY AGE !!
They carry sweaters on sweaters, cozy cardigans, and the cutest kimonos these baby blues have seen yet! And their selection doesn’t stop there, you’ll find so many cute jackets, pretty dresses and tops you’ll die for!
And I love that they have a large inventory of staple pieces (basic tees, etc.) along with the latest trends (some of the Most Adorable Statement Sleeves around!!). Such a great mix and certainly something for everyone!!
And y’all know how I feel about this velvet trend (insert heart eyes emoji here!!)!
There’s just something about adding such luxurious texture to your outfit – I think it’s such an easy way to carry your every-day look to the next level. I love how soft and feminine wearing velvet makes me feel!!

They didn’t forget the accessories either. The great selection of earrings, necklaces and bracelets made choosing favorites a difficult task. And their offerings of booties, bags and bralettes made this little boutique the perfect one-stop-shop!

I was also WOWed by their Denim line-up – Super Skinnies To Fabulous Flares! I tried several styles (I tend to gravitate to a narrow cut) and found myself wondering why I’ve been stuck in my skinny little rut.
Funny how we just do what we’ve always done – auto-pilot is just easier I guess (and not only in direction of denim!). Well, I refuse to allow myself to slip into complacency – in fashion and any other avenue of my life!
