Hey Sweet Friends! I hope your week has gone well!! Mine has been packed – literally…. as I’m in the process of prepping for a move (I’ll share more about that later)! There’s so much to do! And you never really grasp how stuff you have until it’s time to pack it up and move it out!! It’s ridiculous and I am COMMITTED to figuring out a way to simplify!! But y’all, that struggle is REAL – So Pray For Me! Haha!!
Today, I wanted to share an event I recently attended. It was such fun and I thought you may enjoy it as much as I did!
In my opinion, there’s nothing better than a pretty sparkle…. especially if it’s DIAMONDS!!
A couple weeks ago, I met up with some fabulous blogger gals and Scoop Charlotte magazine to enjoy a fun evening at Diamonds Direct (Charlotte location).
We spent hours browsing all the pretties and trying on some of our favorite pieces. It was a blast!

Inspiration For The Heart~
“Focus on what God is doing THROUGH you instead of what is happening TO you.”
I saw this quote a while back and tucked it away in the back of my brain for safe keeping. As soon as I read it, I knew it was the way I had always tried to live my life – and often failed – and thought it would be a good referral as I tried to navigate life’s ups and downs.
And oh my goodness, has cancer ever given me an opportunity to try and live this one out every single day! It’s just so easy to get sucked-in to the wrong thought patterns – especially when life is not ideal for a long period of time. I can grow weary and discouraged far too quickly if my focus is solely on poor, pitiful ME!
I think all too often, we fail to USE EVERY season. Seasons of pain, inconvenience, disappointment or discomfort can be an opportunity IF our perspective is set in the right direction. It’s so important to keep in mind through every circumstance, that what you do and the words you speak can change another person’s day -or maybe even their life!
Sounds almost too dramatic to be true, doesn’t it?! But I have been on the receiving end lately and believe me it is all too real!
I can’t tell you how many times I have spoken with women that are walking through their own cancer journey – carrying their own fears and pain – yet took the time and found the strength to share encouragement with me about my cancer battle. They CHOSE, even if just for a short time, to USE their circumstances to make mine a bit better. And I hope to do the same.
I think some times we want to be used by God but just don’t see quite how we can make that happen – do we even have anything to offer?? But God only requires us to use what we have. I think we just forget that IF we get our focus right, He can use it ALL- the good and the bad – so that we might be a blessing to those He places in our path. We just need to Fix Our Focus!!
