Y’all!!  I Can Not Believe It Is Already Mid-May!!  And I REALLY can’t believe Easter and Mother’s Day have come and gone  –  Where does the time go ???!!

Y’all may remember, right before Easter I had been on the hunt for a lavender dress – Nothing says Easter to me like lavender.  When I was twelve my Grandmother made me a lavender Easter dress – nothing fancy- just a simple Aline BUT she also made a matching full-length jacket and y’all, it was SO very Jackie-O!! (not sure a nine year old can pull off Jackie-O but I did feel sooo sophisticated!! haha!)   Both pieces were fully lined and a custom fit.  The ensemble was such a soft lavender and looked like Springtime in motion.  It was perfect.

Anyway, fast forward to 2017 – no lavender goodness in sight . .   After a two day shopping search, nothing seemed to jump out at me and I was beginning to give up.  I love to shop – seriously LOVE – but some days I want everything I see and other days, though they are rare, I can’t find a single thing that works.  And this was one of those days – maybe I just wasn’t in the mood – but honestly nothing seemed to turn my head!!  I had decided I would stop in just one more store and then I was gonna throw in the towel.

I headed to New York & Company with little to no expectation and half-heartedly wandered in,  just hoping to find anything that might put a smile on my face.  Let me tell you, the moment I walked in the door I knew my shopping day was going to end on a good note!  Sooo much to choose from – and while there was no lavender – all the Spring Gorgeousness one heart could handle!!  I immediately spotted this pretty little Carolina Blue dress with Cute Bell Sleeves and immediately fell in LOVE!  What A Pleasant Surprise!

This adorable dress that came home with me was on a fabulous SALE!  Only$24.99!!!

I was only there for about an hour (they were closing!!)  but it only took about five minutes to make my choice!  It was love at first sight!!

If you aren’t familiar with this New York & Company, let me first tell you that they have Ahhmazing sales and they have them often.   They offer great wardrobe basics along with other pieces that are a little more on the trendy side – and every piece so reasonably priced!    I love their cute tees and they have a great selection of dresses for work and play (I found several adorable maxis!).
