Well Lovies, at long last it seems that Fall is upon us!
I can’t tell you how thrilled I am for cool days, warm lattes and all the gorgeous layers that come with Falling leaves!
Today I wanted to share one of my favorite brands, Picadilly Canada! They have just introduced their Fall/Winter Collections for 2017 and I am over the moon about these designs!!
The statement pieces are WOW and the basics are anything but basic!
I haven’t always been a denim girl. I felt jeans just didn’t fit my style and so rarely wore them at all. I would make plans to meet girlfriends for lunch and as we made our plans over the phone, the last thing they would always say was, “And come in jeans – don’t be so dressed up.”
Of course, I would always agree, rolling my eyes knowing full well I had no intention of wearing jeans. It just didn’t feel natural for me. I have always been a strong believer that if you look your best, you will feel your best. And at that time, for me, jeans just didn’t feel pretty. I guess I had a princess syndrome of some sort! Hahaha!! Anyway, I have always just embraced who I am, staying true to what I wanted to wear, no matter what anyone else said or did. I just had to be me, right??
I’m not sure exactly when it happened, but as time moved along, I had a complete reboot on my denim thinking!
Maybe it’s because there are so many options (not just a boring basic) in the denim department lately, I honestly don’t know . . . but these days not only do I enjoy wearing denim, it has become a staple in my daily uniform for both work and play!
I’ve found it to be such a great foundation for building so many looks. I find myself pairing denim with everything from a velvet blazer to a soft grey tee, it all absolutely works!

I chose to layer up with this fabulous statement sleeve by Gianni Bini and a sheer blue duster I found at a boutique last season. In the shoe department, I opted for the cutest metallics by Steve Madden! I love the rose gold and can we talk about those acrylic heels . . . Seriously!!!
These darling denims are as soft as any leggings I’ve ever worn! And let me assure you, the fit is perfection – even for a curvy girl like me! No squeezing in, holding your breath zip-ups!
