Are y’all having a great week?? I hope so!! Mine has been so busy but I am happy to feel good enough to be bouncing from activity to activity! It’s been a long time since I’ve had this much energy and I am grateful for it!

Let’s talk today about one of my favorite pieces – a denim jacket in COLOR!

I grabbed this jacket at a local boutique here in Charlotte (LUNA) because I thought it was a MUST HAVE!

There’s so much to love about it – the soft blush color, distressing and cut make this jacket a real find! (I have linked some I love below for those of you who aren’t local!)

I have worn denim jackets for as long as I can remember. Most of them are just shades of blue denim in various styles. But then a couple years ago, I bought one that was hot pink and it went with so much in my closet that I decided to snag a white one and a really pretty pale yellow one as well. I just recently added this fabulous baby pink to the family and I’m so glad I did!!

Surprisingly, I think I wear the colors more than the basic blue!

I am always reaching for a jacket no matter the season. I’ve gone out on the hottest summer day, walked into the mall and was chilled to the bone, so I am a huge “grab your jacket just in case” person!! Denim jackets are always the first thing I grab when my outfit is in the casual range and to have so many options is wonderful!!

Inspiration For The Heart~

Breast Cancer Warrior. I never wanted to here….  I‘m sure you’re thinking, “Well of course not”! And you’re exactly right.

I hung out there for several days in “No God No!!” land and then I decided it was doing absolutely NO Good!

I WAS THERE and now EVERYTHING was totally out of my control! Well, I was never actually really in control but y’all know what I mean. My life was now being navigated around uncomfortable tests, a million doctor appointments and so many tears!

After I finally shared my surprising news with my family and friends everything changed. I had to begin wondering what affect this whole ordeal was having on them. I knew I needed to harness everything I believe about God (and know to be true) and fuel myself with ONLY those thoughts. Yes, the facts were still facts – here I was and here I would remain for many months to come, but I needed to make a huge decision about what I would do WHILE I was there.

I decided to trust God and be happy. For Every Single Breath. Every Single Day. Every Single Tear. And Every Single Smile.

I also decided that every time I had the opportunity I would share Hope. In some circumstances, hope is all we have. But if our hope lies in Jesus, WE WIN. No matter the situation. No matter the outcome.

God’s Promises Do Not Change based on our circumstance. But I believe His grace and comfort surely do. The more you need, the more He sends. He is always faithful and will be our peace when we fully trust and lean-in as He fills gaps as only He can.

So the next time you find yourself “there” in your own trial or battle, flip your focus and ask God what you can do WHILE You’re There! Your circumstance may have less to do with you and more to do with how God wants you to affect those around you. You may be the only glimmer of hope they see that day – the only smile they see in a world filled with cancer -or whatever. Knowing there is purpose in the pain doesn’t make it any easier most days but it does allow you to see that NOTHING IS WASTED when God is on your side!
