Good Morning Lovies!
I hope your week has gotten off to an amazing start! It’s going to be a busy one for me but that’s the way I prefer it 😉
When I went to New York back in August for Fashion Week, I met so many incredible people. Overall, it was just an amazing experience and one I will never forget.
The one really strange thing about the trip was actually a new friendship I acquired.
I was late (seriously, when does this NOT happen to me?!!) getting my travel set up and could not find a hotel! An Instagram friend, whom I had never “met” offered to let me share her hotel room. Several other friends I knew were planning to be in New York at the same time, so I thought, “If she ends up being a psycho, I can always bunk with someone else.” So, I decided to take the leap and room with this person I knew very little about, fingers crossed that she didn’t have too much crazy going on!
When I got to New York, I went straight to the hotel. I honestly wasn’t nervous. I had talked with her many times on the phone and knew enough about her to know our morals aligned (which is very important to me) and that she was married and had six children (yes, SIX). Good basic morals, a wife and a mom . . . she can’t be too nuts, right??
Now, I know what you’re thinking . . . and I would never have believed it either . . . but long story short . . . I now count this fabulous woman as one of my very dearest friends! And yes, we both think it’s So Weird too!
Elizabeth Johnson is one of the kindest, funniest and most lovable ladies! We had such an amazing time in New York! I talk to her daily by phone and we are constantly trying to come up with reasons to go back to New York (or anywhere!!) for our next adventure!

So . . . Fast forward six weeks and here we are (on Instagram) hosting our #TargetTuesday together and having a blast!
And I guess really need to come clean . . . . Target has never been a major source in my world for clothing or accessories. Target only really came to mind if I was out of deodorant or needed a new toothbrush! So when I stumbled in one afternoon and accidentally found myself in the women’s clothing department, I was just astounded!
Target really got it right with their newest fashion lines, Who What Wear and A New Day. From classic, foundational pieces to the latest trends, these lines offer so many options. I am in love with the fact that I can grab a super trendy piece (that will be so out of style next year this time) at such an affordable price point! How great to know I didn’t spend $250 on a sweater with ruffled sleeves (This One was $32.99!) that may or may not be worn next season!
I don’t have to think twice and I love this guilt-free shopping mindset!

I shopped til I dropped as I chatted with Liz on the phone in complete astonishment.
I picked up this fabulous velvet skirt in CLEARANCE!! Yep, I paid a whopping $11.99
Even The Shoes.
Y’all know I LOVE SHOES! And just to be quite honest, I don’t mind putting a little more $$$ toward that Department – I’ve always told myself that it was a good investment and I still believe that to some extent.
BUT. When I saw these Fur Lined MULES by A New Day – Baby … It Was OVER!!!
At $24.99, I could NOT pass them up!! I mean, So Many Mules at $24.99?! Thank you, yes, let me see how quickly I can place those in my cart!!
And Over The Knee Boots are all the rage and I absolutely Love these!
And check out this pair of adorable Booties! Super-Duper Comfy AND At $30 Bucks, I knew this pair of cute Sock Booties were coming home with me!
